how to get video file from hosted server using rtmp protocol

i am working on a online video editing web application using ffmpeg..& i am able to trim video ,merge video files etc these original video files are located on my local host ...but i want to perform these operation on video which is hosted on other video hosting server(influxis) server
is there any process how to these

in sort i want to source file from video hosting sever & want to pass that file to ffmpeg to perform video editing task ?.

any help will be appreciated.
