How to use headers in gridview in seperate div ?

Hi,
my requirement is to put gridivew header in seperate div. That's not an issue. The issue is how will I do sorting, paging for gridview upon clicking those headers. Because I am not using gridview's built-in headers. Please refer me any useful link or guide in this regard.
