Dear All
I hope somebody can help me. I have an old W32 c++ Borland Builder application installed at customer pc. Everything was fine until today, but from now on checkboxes and radio buttons are displayed very strange.

I tried to change resolution, switch off Areo, ... nothing happened.
Also with google I do not find anything.

I hope somebody here does know the reason and how to solve it.

Thank you very much in advance.

[EDIT] Solution found[EDIT]The problem was not related to Borland c++ Builder.

This screenshot does show the strange checkboxes on the left side and the corrected on the right after running "sfc /scannow" from console

Does it works on other computers? What has changed on that computer between the time it works and now? Do you have any capture? Have you tried to reinstall thye software or the OS. Maybe something has been corrupted on that computer.

Thank you for your comments.

It works fine on other computers (even on my W7 system). And according to customer "of course" nothing has changed...
OS I don't like to reinstall at this moment. I try to delete the thumbnail cache as soon as I can connect again, but I think it will not help.

Corrupted: I don't think. Word and Excel show check boxes fine.

Do you still have the compiler. If so, you might try to create a simple application to see if the problem exist for any Borland application. The appearance depend on many thing like if system controls are used or is it custom controls. Office might not be a good reference as they sometime uses their own stuff.

The strange thing is: Before two days everything was ok. From today _all_ borland builder applications have the same problem with check boxes and radio buttons.
Thx again.
