Hello,

after migrating my project from Visual Studio 2008 to 2012, I missed the repainting of the MDI-Client-Window while moving the Child-Frame. My project consists of a lot of different child-frame classes. After closing all childs the MDI-Client-Window will be repainted. Minimize and maximize the application will caused a black colored MDI-Client-Window. I´ve already tried to migrate the project to VS 2010 first and than migrate from 2010 to 2012 with no success. But I´ve recognized that the issues doesn´t come up in VS 2010.

I hope that somebody can help me,
thanks in advance

It's hard to help without seeing your code. My best advice is: avoid MDI my all means. Even Microsoft tries hard to phase it out.

Thanks for the reply. My second try to migrate from 2008 to 2010 and then to 2012 was successful, direct migration does not work. In reality I'm an dialog and logic developer, so I've no experience in MDI development. What would be an alternative to an MFC-MDI application, what would you suggest?
