How to connect GSM modem via usb port

I am developing an application in which I have to send sms via GSM modem with usb port. With com port I have done but I can not find a way to do this via usb port. can anyone help?

Solution 1

That's because USB is a BUS, not unlike the expansion slots inside your computer. It is NOT a port. There is no way to address the port the thing is connected to. You talk to USB devices through the interfaces they expose, such as a COM port.

You have already done it the correct way.
