Having problem in Installation Sql Server 2008 in Windows 8

Hi ,

I am having problem while installation of Sql server 2008 /R2 on my Laptop which has windows8 installed on it . It is showing the dialog box " This program has compatibility issues "

I have installed sql server service pack 1 and service pack 3 on my laptop but none of use .

This is the detailed problem .

Description
After SQL Server setup completes you will need to install service packs before running SQL Server on this version of Windows. For SQL Server 2008, you will need to install Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later. For SQL Server 2008 R2, you will need to install Service Pack 1 (SP1) or later.

Yeah right Chronos but i can not identify from where i can install service pack 3 or service pack 1 exactly i have installed by googling service pack 3 for sql server .
Can you please suggest or provide any link.

have you tried the option "install without getting help" from the compatibility assistant dialog?
a few moths ago i tried and installed the sql server 2008 r2 on my windows 8 desktop, i just clicked the "run program without getting help" option in the compatibility assistant dialog and just installed it like how you would normally do, i didn't run into any problems during installation, and worked just fine.
