how to run joomla site from server to localhost

hi everybody.

i want to run a joomla site from server to localhost, index page working but inner pages are not open,they show "The requested URL /joomla/products/products/contact-details was not found on this server."

"run from server to localhost" - what on earth is that supposed to mean??? Your question doesn't make any sense at the moment. Please use the Improve Question link above to better explain what you mean. Do you mean you're trying to access your Joomla site from your local computer (via a web browser) and it is not working? Your error message would suggest you have forgotten to upload some files or you have failed to configure Joomla properly.

Just in case you are interested in testing a site in your local programming desktop computer...

Then you'll need a set of programs that will allow you to use JOOMLA in your computer.

Your server will have it installed and in order to be able to use it in your computer you'll have to do the same.

Get EasyPHP[^], WAMP[^], XAMPP[^] or any of those suites and donwload the JOOMLA extensions, then configure them (typically following samples from the web) and that's all...
