Dear Friends,

I have installed MSSql 2012. While installation it didn't ask servername or any other credentials. After installing the software I'm unable to use it as it requires servername.. can any body help me.

Normally it is same as your computer name which you can get by right clicking on My Computer and click on Properties.
If that dosen't work, follow these steps
1. Select Browse for more... from the Server Name dropdown
2. Under Local Servers tab, expand Database Engine
3. Select the SQL Server instance. Ex: YourCompName\SQLServer2012

Thanks for reply.. I already tried computer name but it didn't work..

. Under Local Servers tab, expand Database Engine

and then have you looked for that in the "Network Servers" tab?
Sometimes it is not displayed unders "Local Servers" (I don't know why, though)

Go to services and look for SQL Server (Instance Name)

If you are talking about 'SQL Server Services" in "SQL Server Configuration Manager" then there it no value. It is blank..
