How do I send calendar invite to an email in ASP.NET core API

I need help on how to send calendar invites to email addresses programatically so it becomes an event on their calendar. I'd like to integrate it in my ASP.NET Core API if possible.

What I have tried:

I got some leads from Microsoft website but they are not explicit enough.
