code for viterbi algorithm ?

hey guys,

Is there any code for soft decision decoding using the Viterbi algorithm?
this is for my project where in i have to develop the code for it.
i dont require the entire code just need a brief idea it. i would prefer it in MATLAB but C++ is also fine.

Have you checked this already: http://www.phys.ufl.edu/docs/matlab/toolbox/comm/vitdec.html[^]. Not exactly what you're asking but could be a start.
