issue with deploying a new website in IIS vs 6.0

I just made a simple web aplication on mvc 3 razor view engine. I tried to deploy it to the IIS version 6.0. I right clicked on the website -> new website -> and then next -> Chose a description and gave a port and left the host header for website blank and then chose the path to the file and when I go next then error" website creation wizard did not complete successfully" what is missing?
