catched by the mouse to the x,y coords of the MSChart.
Thanks in advance

Rama,
Just wondering, how did you start this project? In VC 6.0, I would create a ATL project and insert and object. How was this one started ( to get the boiler plate code automatically written ) or did you type it all in your self?
Thanks
Ralph

Hi Rama, I have a question for your regarding another bit of code you sent me a while back. I can't find your email so please email me when you get a chance.

Hi,
The tool is great, but your article could have definitely explained more about your design, and elaborate a little bit about the code.
Thanks.

Do you have to be logged on to CodeProject for the ticker to get updated, or just logged on to the internet?
I'm not quite sure, because when I'm logged on to CodeProject, it gets the information it needs, but when I'm logged off (but still on the internet), it looks like it continues getting updated.

Having gotten accustomed to the CodeProject ticker running, and reading the various headlines moving across it, every now and then something interesting would appear as it moves along. At that point I would click on that particular headline, but instead of being taken to the view corresponding to it, I'd end up at the 'Discussion Board' with a few other headlines, but NOT for the one I had clicked.
Isn't the ticker suppose to automatically take you to the view for that specific headline on which you clicked?

I know about that. It's a bug in the CP Webservice it returns an incorrect URL that leads to a non existent message board. I will try to see what I can do about that.

It's a good piece of work you did here, and I know it will only get better as more fine tuning is done to it.
My hat off to you.

I downloaded the 'demo' version (which is a 'dll') and after clicking on it, I got a caution message about attempting to open a file of "Application Type". I clicked the 'Open With ...' button and selected "Internet Explorer" and clicked 'OK'.
Nothing happened!!!!!
Went back and repeated the process once more, and received the same result. (Yes, I was connected to the internet at all times while trying it.)
Running Win2K.

your english writing is ok, your reading seems to need a little exercise
did you see the "hwo to install" section in the article above???

Thanks! I've always wanted someone to give me a passing grade on my English writing.
With regards to the reading part, I did read the "How to Install" instructions, but when nothing came of that exercise, I tried directly clicking on the 'dll' itself (and the rest of that story you already know).
After receiving your reply, I went back and tried the 'Run' command statement along with the name of the 'dll'. This time I found why I was unsuccessful earlier and corrected that situation.
Everything turned out as the article described, including successfully registering the 'dll'. However, after right clicking on the task bar and seeing the entry of the CodeProject Ticker from ToolBar, I clicked on it and waited a while to see if anything would happen.
Nothing happened!!!!!
Yes, I was connected to the internet all the while.
Maybe something IS hapenning and it's just that I'm not looking in the right place.
