Site News

If our email replies have been a little slower than usual, and the smoke billowing from CodeProject HQs smokestacks is a little darker and blacker than usual it's because we've been burning the candle at both ends in preparation for a number of new features.

As many of you are aware we're beta testing our new CodeProject.TV service that aims to bring shorter, tighter videos to those Who Have No Spare Time (yes, we build these services because we ourselves need them!). An interesting challenge for us has been the move away from traditional managed or semi-managed hosting and on to cloud based services. No more hardware to worry about. In fact no more Windows or SQL Server, either. This is a huge, huge change for us and a big part of the nail biting going on is who will our traditional .NET based systems interact with a cloud-hosted, NoSQL solution hosted on a completely separate service provider.

The beta ends in a couple of weeks. We can't wait!

cheers,
Chris Maunder
