Would you like a chance to win $25,000?

We figured the answer was probably "sure - why not", so we're very excited about our Android at Play: Android Game App Contest. This Intel sponsored contest runs for four months, from July 6th 2012 and ends November 6th 2012. There will be four prizes (one each month) of $1000 cash prizes, and a grand prize of a $25,000 cash. All you need to do is create a new, NDK-based Android game app for Intel architecture based devices, then write an article about it and you could win a $25,000 cash prize!

Don't worry - you don't actually need a device to write an app. The Android 4.0.4 emulator is here to help.

cheers,
Chris Maunder

Are you a DevOp?

Survey period: 23 Jul 2012 to 30 Jul 2012

Software doesn't live in isolation - it needs to be tested, deployed, it may need a server (or servers), and it needs people to tend and care for the finished application. The software also needs to make sense from a business point of view. A DevOp or SysAdmin Coder is becoming less of a luxury and more of a requirement.
